- Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques.
- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods and developping the right algorithms to achieve the expected results.
- Applying third party sources of information when needed.
- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
- Converting ad-hoc analysis in general algorithms that allows to present results in a clear manner.
- Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance.
REPORTING TO: CSO
- BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics of Physicists (Physicists have strong mathematical background, computing skills, and come from a discipline in which survival depends on getting the most from the data).
- Knowledge and experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab.
- Knowledge in platforms with data science tools (AWS, Google, Spark).
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
- Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc. Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable.
- Experience with data visualisation tools, such as D3.js, GGplot, etc.
- Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig
- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase
- Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
- Good scripting and programming skills. Advanced knowledge in Python, R. Desirable in Java.
- Data-oriented personality.
- Ability to work autonomously.

- Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues
- Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams

- Ensure proper recording and closure of all issues
- Prepare accurate and timely reports
